Saniderm Bandage
-Leave saniderm on for a minimum of 24 hours to 3-5 days.
-Sometimes there will be liquid underneath, that’s normal. It may also weep that is also normal.
-if you get irritation around the edges take off the bandage and follow the steps below.
- take off the wrap/bandage, take a shower with lukewarm water and clean it throughly with antibacterial soap or a bar soap.
- When you get out of the shower pat the tattoo dry. Let it air dry for atleast 20 mins. Do not rebandage your tattoo. Apply the lotion lightly on the tattoo.
- After the 3rd or the 4th day, you should be peeling by then.
-use nonscented water based lotion for a week and a half. Such as aveeno, eucerin, Nivea, curel, cetafil, or lubriderm.
-Make sure to keep your tattoo clean by washing it every day for the next two weeks.
-Avoid submerging your tattoo in water, as well as swimming or tanning for a minimum of two weeks. Only use sunscreen on a healed tattoo.
- Do not pick or scratch at the tattoo.
Plastic Wrap Bandage
-Leave bandage/wrap on for a minimum of two hours, preferably overnight.
- Tomorrow morning take off the wrap/bandage, take a shower with lukewarm water and clean it throughly with antibacterial soap or a bar soap.
- When you get out of the shower pat the tattoo dry. Let it air dry for atleast 20 mins. Do not rebandage your tattoo. Apply the A and D ointment lightly over the tattoo. Apply it 3 times a day for 3-4 days. Morning, mid day, and right before you you go to sleep.
- If the tattoo seems overly dry you can apply it then as well. After the 3rd or the 4th day, you should be peeling by then.
- Switch from A&D to to nonscented water based lotion for a week and a half. Such as aveeno, eucerin, Nivea, curel, cetafil, or lubriderm.
